In the age of robots, human stories matter more than ever.

Let me help you tell your story.

I’m Katie Ingegneri, a storyteller and creative content marketing consultant based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a global perspective and an eye on the future.

As a marketing professional and brand storyteller, I worked for 15+ years in creative marketing strategy, multi-platform content development, and audience engagement for brands including Boston’s premier creative colleges (Emerson College and New England Conservatory of Music), Cambridge-based nonprofits, and the Chicago agency world, where I worked in-house and for corporate clients.

I’m now building my own practice to offer my creative and strategic services to individuals, brands, and organizations.

As a creative writer, editor, and academic, I’m obsessed with music, media, anthropology, and popular culture. I previously founded an online magazine about indie music when I was based in Chicago, and I am working on launching my new Substack.

I’m based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, after growing up in nearby revolutionary-literary Concord, earning my academic degrees in Montreal and Boulder, and working in Chicago, where I went to a lot of concerts in relation to my music magazine. You might still catch me at some shows around Boston (or New York, or Maine, or New Jersey, or Chicago).

Ingegneri is pronounced “in-ja-near-ee.”

You’ll get used to it.

My philosophy: Thoughtful, tailored, human-centric stories and strategy to achieve your goals. Forward-thinking. No BS. Good design. No typos, no errors.

My favorite view of Boston from Cambridge.

I love telling great stories and making high-quality work with good people who share my philosophy.

If you need someone to write engaging copy and content, ghostwrite under your name, edit anything, manage a publication process, create a social media strategy, design digital or physical items, create multimedia content, source other professionals for a project, or just want a thought partner to talk things through, I’m here to help.

And yes, I am resolutely anti-generative AI.

Work With Me, I’m Nice!

Katie has worked with me for several years as a proofreader and copy editor. Her attention to detail and ability to get assignments done in a timely manner (if not early!) is remarkable.

She is an excellent communicator and has a great command of the English language. In addition, she is delightful to deal with on an everyday basis. I highly recommend her for any position which involves writing and communications.
